How To Jump Higher with Depth Jumps

Depth jumps are great plyometric exercises for jumping higher.

They are excellent for improving your speed and explosiveness.

Here are some great tips on how to perform depth jumps:

TIP #1:
Start with a low box height (approximately 12 inches) and get used to it before moving on to higher boxes.

TIP #2:
If you’ve never performed depth jumps before, start by just stepping off the box and landing on the ground to absorb the force i.e. don’t jump off the ground.

TIP #3:
As you become comfortable with the mechanics and form of the exercise, add the jumping portion of the exercise.

TIP #4
Depth jumps are deceptively strenuous on your body and put a huge strain on your nervous system. This may cause serious injury so don’t overdo them.
