How to Fight Sleep Apnea
Sleep apnea is one of the most common sleep disorders that people fight. And this is a very dangerous condition because it can result in some serious issues. What happens is the person has trouble getting air to flow into their lungs because of some blockage of the airway. It’s because of this blockage that snoring usually happens.
Symptoms of sleep apnea include things like snoring, shallow breathing, daytime drowsiness, and even things like choking. While obesity is not a symptom of sleep apnea, it usually is one of the major causes of it. And age and sex do not matter as everybody is prone to it.
There are two types of sleep apnea… first is obstructive and the second is central. Obstructive is obviously when something is blocking the airway. Central means there are signals from your brain that fail to reach and make you breath. This is a much more serious issue.
However, because of many of the side affects of sleep apnea you should see a doctor and get it under control. There are many things you can do to help you sleep better. Many times sleeping on your side with the right pillow can help cure the obstructive apnea. While it does not necessarily help with sleep apnea, creating an environment that makes it easier to sleep is always good.
Make your bedroom better by making it dark, using a hydration machine, using silk sheets, and making sure you get enough sleep.
