    Nope.

    I’ve tried already. You have to go through an approved registrar. GoDaddy is a registrar + host, though there are some hosts that use other registrars. As a result, you can buy direct from the registrar.

    Oh, and don’t use Network Solutions. If you search a domain name, they’ll pick it up for 4 days so you can only buy from them.

    I’ve got a domain through eNom, but I purchased it through Hostgator.
