Anyone know of a free domain name site with free websites?

I want to register my domain name for free and have a free website. I have seen them, the ones with advertising on them. It is for a small business.Anyone know where to find this type of service?

    If this domain is really for a small business, you should have the funds to buy the domain. The domain and the hosting will be your cheapest investment. Trust me, you will encounter more expensive fees. I mean, if you can’t even afford a $10 domain name, how can you even think about opening a business?

    I think you should consider getting your own domain registered at a pay site. That goes for web hosting as well. Usually free web sites and hosting give you limited choice. Most of them won’t give you a true first level domain. It’s usually yourname.theirhost.com such as xxxxx.blogspot.com or xxxx.freeweb.com. The URL sticks out like a sore thumb and lacks credibility. Most people would see right away that it is a free web site. They would wonder why if this is a serious web site why would you use a free service? Lacking credibility equals less traffic and few if any orders if you are selling something. Kind of like the old adage - you get what you pay for.

    You can get a free website with Microsoft Office Live Small Business - http://starturl.com/officelive . It has a free design tool that allows you to create web pages without coding. It has 500mb of web space and no ads. MS is giving a free domain name for the 1st year. This is not just for business websites, works great for other kinds of sites.
