Consequences of Avoiding the Scale
Avoiding the scale could leave you with a 20 pounds weight gain where if you had weighed-in regularly, you could have been aware of this weight gain at 5 pounds. It is very easy to tell yourself that you can recover before you ever have to acknowledge a weight gain, but this is a dangerous position to put yourself in. There have been studies done on individuals that have lost weight and maintained that weight loss and the majority of these “maintainers” weight themselves regularly. Not weighing regularly is a step in the wrong direction. Take corrective action and a 2 pound weight gain before it becomes 20 pounds.
