GoDaddy has shut people down who only use them as a registrar if someone makes a complaint of spam, legit or otherwise, EVEN though those people only use them for the registrar only (not even for hosting). Then, they charge $250 to get your name and site working again.
I think this is simply a revenue generator.
NameCheap.com doesn’t yet do *.name domains but tell me they will do so soon.

I use namecheap.com now instead of GoDaddy.
