I’m thinking of registering a domain name and would like to know how yahoo losses the www and replaces it with eg uk.yahoo.com can I buy a .com domain then at no extra cost put the prefix etc… I’m a noob at this but just wondering how to avoid registering every suffix under the sun
I notice that microsoft just uses .com/uk/…. is this a cheap way to?

Hi all,
I want to set these texts as the title and description of my website pages for search engines. I don’t want to change them if they don’t include any grammatical errors. The keywords which are used are very very important to me, because people use them for finding the websites like mine. So I more prefer not to change them. I know using some of them is not correct from view point of “technical phrases”, such as “domain name generator”. But I want to use them because some beginners use them on the web. Just if there are any unusual sentences which seem wrong help me modify. Please take into consideration I have limitation in using the number of words! So don’t try to tell a story!

I’m looking into buying a domain name for myself, but I’ve never done it before and need to be guided through the process. I don’t need hosting, because it will be a very small website, and I’ll be hosting it myself.

I’ve been looking on network solutions. When I click on advance I get hit with all these options.

1. Pubilc v. Private Registration
2. Get e-mail for your domain registration
3. Submit site to major search engines

What is Public v. Private Registration?

Isn’t the e-mail handled on the server?

If I want people to be able to find my site on Google, should I submit my site to major search engines?

Also, does anyone know of a good, cheap, ad-free web hosting service that supports ASP.Net and FTP accounts? I probably won’t need much bandwidth. SQL Server support would be nice too.

You can register a domain name from lots of places on the internet. Just google register domain name. Usually it costs around 10 dollars per year to have a domain name. If you go to my source link they have a whole guide on how to build and promote a website including how to get a domian name.

Is there any other fee’s for buying a domain name on godaddy.com i am also buying their server package as well it just seems like paying $8.99 for a domain name is cheap, i thought they usually cost around $80 but is go daddy just a registration service and u got to pay like $80 a month for the name on top of that or is the $8.99 just a one time fee

I have registered a domain name with Yahoo but want to launch the website with another provider. Is it possible to do that? Moreover, I want to buy some other domain names at cheaper prices from NetFirms. How is the company? Will there be any problem or extra charges if I buy webspace from other firms.
