What is the cheapest site online to buy a domain from?
Cheap or free are not always good selling points.
Affordability combined with good customer support wins out everytime.
I recommend godaddy.com - I manage over 50 websites with them and never had a problem.
BTW, regardless of who you use as the domain registrar, here’s a nifty site you can use to choose a domain name: http://www.pcnames.com/

I would recommend godaddy.com, They are the largest and have the best customer service. As Banana Vortex said, "Cheap or free are not always good selling points."

Cheap is not always good. I use GoDaddy for a lot of reasons having to do with managing my domain over many years.

I use them a lot, they charge per cent for bandwidth so the more you use the more you pay but generally bandwidth on websites are very little so it’s really inexpensive even when I exchange my South Africa Rands into US Dollars.. haha
